I'll be updating this post as I continue to work with a production version of Windows 7.
One of the new features that I was excited about was the ability to burn DVDs within Windows, not requiring separate software. Having a need, I popped in a blank DVD into my 6 hour old Lenovo G550 and chose the option that popped up to burn it like a USB drive. I have about 3 GB worth of data to move to the DVD and at present, less than 25% through the process, it's reporting 3 hours remaining! Ack, it would have been done by now on my MacBook (~10 or 15 minutes for comparable data, if that). I'll play it out, see how it goes.... Maybe there are other options that I missed....
