Ctrl-Alt-Del from Apple's Remote Desktop

I sometimes use Apple's Remote Desktop app to connect to a VNC host over VPN or local connections.

To add the host, go to File/Add By Address, then plug in the IP address or locally resolvable NETBIOS name (if using an alternate port, append it without spaces with :PORTNUMBER). User name is blank and the password is the one you set on the host. Then uncheck Verify... and Apply and click Add. It will now be in your list of 'All Computers in ARD.

Now if you need to send a CTRL-ALT-DEL to the remote host, do the following, based on your keyboard:

If you use Remote Desktop to administer a PC that's running VNC, you may be wondering how to send the Ctrl-Alt-Del command (Control-Alternate-Delete) from a Mac to the PC. Though Mac and PC key mapping differs, you can use an alternate key combination in Remote Desktop 2.0 and later to send the command.
For full-size (desktop) keyboards, use Control-Option-Forward Delete.

Note: The Forward Delete key is located below the Help key on a full-size keyboard. Be sure not to confuse it with the Delete key located above the Return key.
For abbreviated keyboards (on portable computers), use Function-Control-Option-Command-Delete.
