After updating ArcServe to SP1, all of the clients/agent computers require a reboot. Of course I don't plan to reboot Exchange in the middle of the day and I'd rather just have it happen this evening so there are elegant ways to do that without having to be on-site (but we'll have someone ready to come down if need be).
Here's a handy list of options for running Windows' native shutdown command as a scheduled task.
In sum, I entered this in the command to run to give the services 3 minutes to shut down: shutdown /t:180 /r
