TED

You might occasionally hear rumblings about an annual event called the TED conference. It's a neat week long event where 50 different speakers (most of them are people you've likely heard of) present for 18 minutes on various subjects. The acronym stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It's a $6,000 per head conference to attend live but you can watch past presentations at home. If you have a chance, check out a few of the talks online. Good genius geek stuff, often inspirational.
